About Us

Our Approach

We are an independent research and technology organization committed to the preservation, revitalization, and study of linguistic heritage. Our work spans endangered language documentation, speech corpus creation, and the digital archiving of historical texts.

Through a combination of computational linguistics, archival science, and partnership with language communities, we aim to provide accessible resources that support both academic inquiry and community-driven revitalization projects. Our team operates at the intersection of linguistics, machine learning, and cultural preservation, delivering tools with scholarly integrity.

Our Mission

1. Identify at-risk languages and digitize their remaining materials, from historical manuscripts to field recordings with living speakers.

2. Analyze this data using computational methods: morphological parsing, phonetic analysis, and cross-lingual transfer from related languages to bootstrap models where data is scarce.

3. Document each language’s phonological inventory, grammatical structure, and lexicon in machine-readable formats that enable future computational study.

4. Share these resources openly with researchers, descendant communities, and institutions, supporting study, teaching, and revitalization on terms defined by the communities themselves.
